Specific curve valve graph implemented in the control sizing

Allgemeine Diskussion » Specific curve valve graph implemented in the control sizing Posted: 30. June 2022 - 21:46

Dear Sirs,

Point 1 - I tried by CONVAL to create a measured curve and all ok. but after that I could not find the way to be implemented the curve inside the butterfly valve sizing calculation performed.

Point 2 - The calculation is a butterfly control valve, and also I could not find the way in CONVAL to change the s/s100 (in percentage) to rotation ratio (in degrees).

Could you let me know how is the way to do the above 2 points?

Waiting for your fast reply,

Thank you and regards,

Damian

Dear Damian,

Thank you for your contribution!

To your first point:

Below you will find a short instruction how to create and edit individual valve curves in a CONVAL control valve calculation.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:

Step 4:

Step 5:

Step 6:

Step 7:

In order to be able to adjust the measured values later or to be able to fall back on them in a new calculation, you should save the regression.

Step 8:

Step 9:

Step 10: Edit function

Step 11:

Step 12:

Proceed as in step 7

If you regularly use a valve that is not stored in the CONVAL database, we recommend that you add it to your custom CONVAL database. Use the CONVAL database tool for this purpose.

Open Windows Start menu --> Open CONVAL 11 folder --> Open Database Control valve

To your second point:

CONVAL always uses the stroke/angle-of-rotation ratio as a function of s/s100 in percent. An output of the angle is not possible.
