Companies in the process and electrical industries are facing a tough challenge: how can the complex workflows in plant design, operation, commercial transactions, office communication and production be coordinated and optimized such that the whole of the enterprise landscape speaks the same language and every single employee benefits directly?

innotec GmbH and its partners F.I.R.S.T. and PipeCAD have come up with a convincing solution. Their trailblazing CAE planning system is being presented live at Workshop 2001: "integration" is the name of the game for Comos PT, which controls the entire data flow from planning, construction and operation right through to reengineering, facilitating not only end-to-end data management but also the convergence of heterogeneous systems - a goal everyone is currently desperate to achieve. All in all, not a bad starting point for securing competitive leads and realizing savings potentials.

In short, Comos PT is a logical consequence of the need to develop more economical planning methods in order to shorten times and cut costs in all phases of plant engineering. A team of experts will be at hand to demonstrate the infinite opportunities opened up by this internet based software solution during the workshop.

Several outstanding speakers representing the three partners will be there to explain how Comos PT's potential has been broadened with the help of highly specialized software applications. F.I.R.S.T., for instance, will be presenting its CONVAL(r) solution under the heading "Integrated design and optimization of plant components", while PipeCAD will give an introduction to its future-oriented application entitled "Piping system management".
